We did many community events. One of the events took place at Wahoo’s. We advertised Wahoo’s, and they gave us a little bit of their profits. We also did an open house. At the open house, we had children’s crafts and games, a robot demonstration, and an auction. Additionally, we attended the Maker Fair. At the Maker Fair we were given to opportunity to promote the team and demonstrate our robot. We also attended the high school showcase our host school, STEM School and Academy, where we promoted the team and recruited new members. Visitors were given the chance to drive the robot to earn prizes. We also sold Butter Braids to fund raise for the team, so that we could pay for our travel expenses, which totaled over $12,000, to get to our regional in Arkansas.
Check out our awesome open house!
